For example check the Michelin Guides for Europe, here for example. Great Britain & Ireland - 1700 selected restaurants only 3 vegetarian restaurants. Italy - 2300 selected restaurants only 1! vegetarian restaurant. A little bit better is the situation with the three Michelin Guides for North America.
San Francisco – 520 selected restaurants includes around 5 vegetarian / vegan restaurants.
New York City - 800 selected restaurants includes around 5 vegetarian / vegan restaurants.
Chicago - 750 selected restaurants includes ? vegetarian / vegan restaurants.
